Peripheral MITPIL MitsubishiCD Changer Interface for1996-2001 Mitsubishi to Pioneer (P-Bus) 6 disc CDXP650 or 12 disc CDXP1250 CD changers. Connects to pre-run factory CD changer cable in the rear of the vehicle, look for 8 pin DIN and 6 pin Molex connectors.
The MITPIL allows the integration of a Pioneer 6-disc or 12 disc P-BUS Changer and/or Auxiliary input to all 1996-01 Mitsubishi vehicles that are prewired for a factory CD Changer. All functions are retained and the interface and changer are controlled via the OEM(factory) radio controls. At this time the interface is known to work with the following radios: P505, M091, 9166, P902, there may be more radios that work with this adapter, please contact Peripherals technical support for radios not on this list.
Included with the interface is the exclusive X-Path circuitry, which provides an input for an Auxiliary audio source to be fed in through the factory system and does not need the addition of a CD changer to function. (in other words you don't have to install a cd changer for the aux. function to work).
If only the X-Path is desired, simply accessing the CD changer functions and grounding the gray wire will activate the X-path circuitry and allow audio to be heard from the auxiliary input device through the factory system. The X-Path circuit is a convenient way to Add audio from an iPod, Satellite Radio, MP3 player, DVD player, or any other audio device. Installation of the MITPIL is a simple plug-n-play affair. The MITPIL connects to the factory pre-run 8-pin DIN (round) and 6-pin Molex connectors at the rear of the vehicle and the Pioneer CD Changer or Auxiliary input device connects to the interface.
